Penang - Part Four

This is the first day of an 8-hour tour, organised by our hotel.  We felt like VIP’s as we had our own taxi driver.  To my surprise this was the same driver who dropped us off at Gurney Drive.

Our morning started off with a visit to the 33-metre, gold plated reclining Buddha.  This Thai temple was built in 1845 by a Buddhist monk, who came from Thailand.  It is amazing sight to see, lovely colours.

Opposite the Reclining Buddha Temple is the the Standing Buddha Temple, it stands at 8.2 metres tall.

PART FIVE can be found HERE.
